The Need For Mass Stimulation

People feed on exhilaration due to chemical reactions taking place within the body that are produced by the body in certain situations automatically on its own. Sometimes these exhilarating feelings we get are not frequent enough to satisfy the body’s need for this euphoric feeling and so people turn to drugs to get that boost or thrill.

Now of course there are many people who do not take artificial stimulants and the government likes to make those illegal. However the people in power, either the government or perhaps there are beings of yet a higher power than that, we do not know, but those beings in power realize that the individual needs the chemical stimulants that the body naturally produces when under some stress or pressure or danger on a somewhat regular basis.

Problems will arise if this need is not fed. Eventually the need for the stimulation grows and has to vent or find some situation that will provide this potential to force the body into a situation where it will require the production of these naturally produced chemicals.

And so, since as a student of the path to find the truth of reality, we know that we are actually asleep and not in control of our self. This is where people do the ills that they do. The body needs that chemical that comes from a stimulating or dangerous situation. But since we are actually asleep, the body creates a situation without the consent or better judgment of the true mind, and dangerous or violent situations occur. This goes both ways, either one commits a violent act, or one allows themselves to get into a dangerous situation.

A sleeping person is subject to this unseen manipulation of the body over the mind. An awake or at least physically aware person can feed him or herself consciously and deliberately and is free of the twists of fate, or the world.

The wisdom of the controlling beings of modern society, who could also be the stars and planets if we consider some of the ancient teachings of Hermetica or Gnostic traditions. Each planet is actually an individual being who effects our lives here on earth by manipulating our reactions to our life. Each planet needs food of a certain nature and gets it by our actions here on earth. This is a body of work on its own.

Given that there is a controlling factor of our lives here on earth, it knows that if the mass population does not get a regular amount of stimulation on an individual level to provide the necessary chemicals which are produced naturally by the body in its design to keep the mind trapped and involved with being asleep yet keeping the body alive and active, there will be a revolution against the appearing power possessing people resulting in mass numbers of dead. So to avoid this event which has so often occurred in history, other events are provided to a mass group that unites them and gives them something to activate the production of this natural chemical stimulant.

Once this occurs, the pressure is relived, the people in power are safe in their positions of control, and the population at large is content when things settle down until the need arises again. Luckily, this need can be contained or satisfied for many years before it builds to a point that the critical mass of pressure is great enough to start a revolution. If you look at the history of a country for example, how often has it entered a war?

Given this, you will see why it is necessary for the government or the stars to provide these types of events on a regular basis, and to perpetuate them long enough to vent or feed the hunger and need of the individual people for this stimulant that is naturally produced by their own bodies quite unknown to them through the entire process due to their unconsciousness, spiritually speaking. When you develop enough of an awareness of your own body, you will be able to see the production of this chemical and its effects consciously, at that point it can no longer effect you in a way to make you do those stupid things that we all do in order to get a dose of it.

This is just what we must go through due to the ignorance of our true nature. The one event may have been effective on mass numbers, but it did not last long enough to fulfill the need of the required stimulation to settle the people for a reasonably long period. This is why as soon as the short attention span of the people began to put the events of one day into the fading memory, new events must be created to keep them stimulated so that they can get an adequate dose of the needed substances and return to a lethargic peaceful work force. Lao Tzu in the Tao Te Ching mentions how to keep the people calm and productive by making sure they are well fed and content.

We can only hope and pray that the needs will be filled and people will quiet down before they make stupidities that claim yet more lives than any of the past events, but if that happens, just keep your head when all about you are loosing theirs. I will close with a wonderful little Zen story.

After winning several archery contests, the young and rather boastful champion challenged a Zen master who was renowned for his skill as an archer. The young man demonstrated remarkable technical proficiency when he hit a distant bull’s eye on his first try, and then split that arrow with his second shot. “There,” he said to the old man, “see if you can match that!” Undisturbed, the master did not draw his bow, but rather motioned for the young archer to follow him up the mountain. Curious about the old fellow’s intentions, the champion followed him high into the mountain until they reached a deep chasm spanned by a rather flimsy and shaky log. Calmly stepping out onto the middle of the unsteady and certainly perilous bridge, the old master picked a far away tree as a target, drew his bow, and fired a clean, direct hit. “Now it is your turn,” he said as he gracefully stepped back onto the safe ground. Staring with terror into the seemingly bottomless and beckoning abyss, the young man could not force himself to step out onto the log, no less shoot at a target. “You have much skill with your bow,” the master said, sensing his challenger’s predicament, “but you have little skill with the mind that lets loose the shot.”
