I would like to apologize for not having posted any articles in a while. The Entrepreneurmonk.com web site is being redesigned and should be ready soon.
The first new design, the one you would see now, is not quite right so we are working on a new one, which is looking very fresh.
I will resume posting articles on a fresh modern looking site in the new year.
The really big change is that I am moving away from New Zealand. I have not chosen a new home yet, but will be starting in Penang, Malaysia for at least 6 months as of January 21, 2014.
This is the 4th time I will let go of my home and almost everything I own, pack one bag, and put my life in the hands of whatever Destiny has to offer.
Thank you for your patience and I look forward to posting new articles on a new website, from a new part of the world, in the new year. Canβt wait to see what other new adventures and new people come into my life.
Life is not about possessions, we leave everything behind when we die. There is only one treasure we should increase every day, and that is our experiences. An interesting thing about this treasure is that it can only grow if we decrease our attachments, fixed opinions and ego.
All my best and warmest wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy, successful, love filled, many new years to come.
Big Hugs to everyone!
David

Hi David,
Welcome soon to Penang π
You will love this little amazing island. Beaches, sunhines, greenery, heritage, and great foods.
Many foreigners chose Penang as their second home to spend their retirements π
Enjoy your six months amazing life in Pearl of Orient (another name for Penang)
Cheers,
A proud Penagite π
Hello David
May peace, love, and everything you expect and desire come to you …
Kindest regards and love

Thank-you so much for the warm wishes and sharing of your insights – offering me the opportunity to see my own life through a different pair of glasses. One question came to mind: what do you mean with experiences and what role does (as objective, non-judgemental but open-minded as possible) reflection play?
Thanks again David and all the best,
lots of love, health, peace, and harmony – success and happiness to you,
big hugs
Gernot
Hello Gernot,
Experiences, well, that is just about anything that has altered your way of seeing the world, both the material and the spiritual or emotional worlds that you live in. As I always say, All is in your mind, so your experiences shape your mind and the way you see things.
However, if you have fixed opinions of right and wrong, or how things ‘should’ be, then you never see things as they are. And if you do not see things as they are, you miss out.
For example, if you have never seen black cherries and you have been presented a bowl of black cherries, but the last time you ate something similar, the sort of light pink cherry, it was bitter, then you would not try this new cherry which will be very sweet, and thus you miss out, because in your fixed opinion, cherries are bitter.
Food, people, languages, cultures, they are all different and if we insist that ours is the best one, then we miss out finding the benefits of the others.
Big hugs and best wishes to you and your family,
David
